‘Last Lecture’ Professor Randy Pausch Dies at 47 of Pancreatic Cancer

Randy PauschRandy Pausch, a popular college professor whose “last lecture” became an Internet sensation, died at age 47 on July 25 in Virginia following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer in September 2006. In August 2007, the cancer had spread, and Pausch was given 6 months to live. A month after learning the cancer was terminal, Pausch gave his now-famous talk to a packed auditorium, where he discussed the importance of celebrating life. Read more & see the video here.

SJPEx-call girl Ashley Dupré just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The buxom 23-year-old brunette, who was Eliot Spitzer’s favorite prostitute, is being sued for ID theft by Amber Arpaio, a N.J. dental assistant who claims Dupré illegally used her driver’s license to convince a Girls Gone Wild producer that she was old enough to be filmed back in 2003. In an odd twist, Arpaio, 26, has named GGW founder, Joe Francis, as Dupré’s co-defendant. Arpaio’s federal lawsuit–which was filed in New Jersey on July 11–now has former adversaries Dupré and Francis lumped together on the same side as co-defendants. Read more.
