Randy Pausch, a popular college professor whose “last lecture” became an Internet sensation, died at age 47 on July 25 in Virginia following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer in September 2006. In August 2007, the cancer had spread, and Pausch was given 6 months to live. A month after learning the cancer was terminal, Pausch gave his now-famous talk to a packed auditorium, where he discussed the importance of celebrating life. Read more & see the video here.
